Base <> Immunefi Audit Competition

Immunefi, the leading onchain security platform, and Base, one of the largest Ethereum Layer 2 networks, launched an audit competition on April 21 for the Base Azul network upgrade with a reward pool of up to $250,000. The competition is live now and runs through May 4, 2026.

Base Azul represents a significant milestone in Base's network roadmap, touching core infrastructure that underpins one of the most widely used L2 ecosystems in crypto. By running a competitive security review ahead of mainnet deployment, Base is layering independent researcher expertise on top of their existing security process to give the upgrade the most thorough scrutiny possible before it reaches production.

The audit competition format brings together security researchers from around the world to independently review the same codebase within a compressed timeline. The structure is designed to attract focused, high-quality work by concentrating both incentives and effort into a defined window. Researchers who identify the most impactful vulnerabilities earn the largest share of the reward pool.
