xDai STAKE Hosts $2,000,000 Bug Bounty on Immunefi

Stable payments blockchain xDai STAKE is hosting a $2,000,000 smart contract bug bounty on Immunefi for its OmniBridge project, making it the largest ever bug bounty in the DeFi space.

xDAI STAKE clearly takes security and responsibility seriously.

OmniBridge is an interoperability solution for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains, which allows users to move ERC-20 tokens between networks quickly and efficiently. OmniBridge is interested in securing its smart contracts against double spending, Denial of Service attacks, or anything that results in loss of user funds.

This latest bug bounty amounts to a massive $500,000 increase over Delta, which had just taken the top of the Immunefi bug bounty leaderboard from Sovryn.

DeFi projects are now actively competing for the top spot, and they’re starting to get the message: large bug bounties work, and they’re an essential way of increasing trust with users, investors, developers, and the wider DeFi community.

As more and more projects join Immunefi’s platform every week, Immunefi continues to regularly deliver critical vulnerabilities through its legendary whitehat hacker community. If these vulnerabilities had been left unchecked, they could have easily obliterated entire protocols. The sheer relief and gratitude from projects and users, spared the loss of millions in user funds, makes it all worth it.

The higher the bug bounty, the more attention from the whitehat hacker community, and the higher the likelihood that a malicious actor will take the bug bounty over plundering the protocol. Everyone wins.
